I may be in the minority but we taste tested the Big Berkey years ago at our local health food store and even my children said it tasted horrible, like gloried tap water.

Note: We ARE water snobs and drink fresh, raw, pristine spring water straight from the rocks.

We thought the Big Berkey was a crock.

U tube took down my comment
I ordered & received Berkey black filters from you. Always good to have a backup set.
Thanks for the price increase warning.

I have a ProPure gravity water filter system. It has ceramic filters. Does the same hold true for them as the Berkey ceramic filters? If so, that would really be unfortunate, because I just recently bought 2 new sets of Propure ceramic filters a few months ago.

You said 2 black berkey filters cost $54 but your chart says $154?

I love my Berkey. I even hooked my son in law and grandson on the water. And they are very picky.

I own the white ceramic British Berkey fliters, been using them for years. I find them to be just as good if not better, as the quality of the black Berkey has gone down. People should do their own research and read the reviews on Amazon. I pay half the cost for the ceramic British Berkey fliters on Amazon. Heidi from rain country suggested them and I've never gone back to the black ones. Hope this helps someone.

A serious question. A number of people have commented that the big Berkey black filters have problems with leakage at the base or break at the base has that ever been a problem and if so has it been fixed? Or is it one of those things that just hasn't ever happened?
